VBA Failing on Surface (and other W8?) in Outlook

    Question

  • I took the OTM file I used on my W7 Outlook (upgraded to Outlook 2013) and moved it to my HP365 install but was told all the VBA functions were missing the DLL. Explicitly prefixed them with VBA as in VBA.Split and they worked except for REDIM --that's a statement. How do I get REDIM to work?

Better why do I need an explicit VBA

On desktop I still have Office 2010 installed but not on the Surface - could be a crucial bug in O2013?

  • Hi Bob,

Do you use Surface RT, or Surface Pro?

If you mean Surface RT, the builtin Office is of RT version, it doesn't support VBA & ActiveX.

If you mean Surface Pro, which "DLL" do you mean in "was told all the VBA functions were missing the DLL"?

    thanks.
