Content Deplpyment (Unable to connect to remote server)

    Question

  • I am running content deplpyment in sharepoint 2010 from Source Web server in Pakistan to Destination Server in USA. Facing error.

    Publishing: Content deployment job failed. Error: 'System.Web.Services.Protocols.SoapException: Unable to connect to the remote server ---> System.Net.WebException: Unable to connect to the remote server ---> System.Net.Sockets.SocketException: A connection attempt failed because the connected party did not properly respond after a period of time, or established connection failed because connected host has failed to respond 31.170.163.241:25000

  • Dont use IP address, Rather use Machine name

    Are you able to browse this URL from source server

    Disable firewall on server and try again

  • yes by using above url I am accessing central administration of destination server. Firewall of Source & destination server both are off ?
