  • Hello:

CSharpNoob pointed to some good articles.  On my website, over 90% of my traffic goes to the one page for the date picker.  I get about 2500 hits a month on the date picker page:

I just copied mscomct2.ocx from another computer and put it in the proper place for 32-bit Excel, registered it, and then I was able to add it using "Additional Controls".  One client from Canada could not make it work until the network administrator refreshed her user profile.

Excel 2010 > Developer tabe > Insert > ActiveX bottom right > More > MIcrosoft Date and Time Picker (SP4).  You might have to update it your SP.

this post from Rich is very helpful and visual.

Hi Thanks for that. I have tried Rich's post before I submitted the thread and realised that the control was not there. Also when I tried the mscomct2.ocx from DanielCurran.com it will not register. I have 64bit Windows 7 and 32bit Excel 2010.

You may want to take a look at Excel Add-In called XLTools Popup Calendar. It is free and can be downloaded from http://xltools.net/download/.

Here is how date editing may look like if you install XLTools Add-In:
