MS ACCESS XP, 2007 & 2010 c0000005 crash.

    Question

  • I have been distributing an Access Based Program for a number of years now with no problems whatsoever.  However, I have clients who are running into errors when using the Program.

    Problem Signature:

    • Problem Event Name:   APPCRASH
    • Application Name:   MSACCESS.EXE
    • Exception Code:   c0000005
    • Exception Offset:   0014fa1f

    Additional Information:

    • LCID:   1033
    • Brand:   Office12Crash
    • skulcid:   1033

    I have tested the following configurations;

    WinXP Pro 32bit, (Access XP, 2007, 2010, Runtime 2007 and Runtime 2010)

    Win7 Pro x64, (Access XP, 2007, 2010, Runtime 2007 and Runtime 2010)

    Win7 Pro 32bit, (Access XP, 2007, 2010, Runtime 2007 and Runtime 2010)

    All my equipment works fine on every version listed above.

    On each of the clients machines I am getting the same error.  They are all running Licensed and Updated software.  The only difference in their equipment I can see is they are using touchscreens and it is happening on a touch event when writing to listbox.  The drivers for the touchscreens are all installed properly with the latest version and no apparent errors.

    Any information you can supply would be greatly appreciated.
