Windows Live Mail Desktop version 2008 (Build 12.0.1606) drops connections after IDLE

    Question

  • Hi,

I am using Windows Live Mail Desktop on Windows XP and I find that the client keeps dropping connections to the IMAP server and recreating them and reselects folders. This seems to be causing a load on the IMAP server. Is this a known issue?

Below is a snippet from the IMAP logs of Windows Live Mail desktop.
