My program is failing with acmFormatChoose on 64 bit Win 8 RC

Question

When I call acmFormatChoose, it appears to be returning code B

Is there a known problem with this API in a non-metro desktop app?  The program I'm trying to get working is RIP Vinyl

I tried your code in Windows 8 RP, and it returns 0xB; in Windows 7, it is 0x6, I will involve others for this threads, thanks.

Are you saying it fails on windows 7 for you with error 6. On my systems, it shows a dialog box to allow me to choose the recording format.

I've now tested my code in Win8 RTM and everything is working fine.
