WCF profiling

Hi Guys,

I have been trying hard but with no luck to get the visual studio profiler to work with my WCF service..

I have a WCF service and I am calling this from the console application. I start up a profiling session, set the type to instrumentation and select my wcf project and the console application.

The issue is my WCF service does not start up, when the profiler runs.

Any thing i am doing wrong here?

Thank you for posting in the MSDN forum.

If you just use the visual studio profiler to analyze this WPF app, whether you could get the result?

In addition, Mike and Chris gave us some suggestions about the similar issue when we use an app to call the WCF server, if possible, please refer:

HI Jack,

Thank you for your reply. I have tried out the post that you given links to, this does not work. The steps in these post are also different for some reason. I am using vs 2010 ultimate edition.

Yes this works fine for a WPF application. In this case, the WPF application starts up but the WCF service does not start up.

Would you mind sharing us more information about the above issue? Could you share us a screen shot about this issue, did you get any error messages?

Since I’m not a WCF expert, so it will be better if you could share us a simple sample, if possible, please attach your Visual Studio project, you can upload it to the sky driver, and then share the download link in your post. We will try to check it.

If you got error messages, please also show the whole error messages in your post.
