Some of my users see a textbox intead of a dropdown list when viewing a user story on Team Web Access.  We use the MSF for Agile project template.

Does anybody have an idea of how to fix this?

    Hi Jean,

    Thanks for your post.

If that users open that user story in VS, the State field show as dropdown list or textbox?

If that users all have the same permissions?  State field dropdown list works fine for that users on other User Story work items?

I haven’t seen this issue before, if you have any further research of this issue, please share your experience here.

    HI John,

This is a permissions-related issue.  When I create another account, and add it to the same Windows group, the new account does not have the issue.  SO somewhere, TFS is not recognisiing Windows Group membership.

After migrating my TFS Server from another domain, I ran TFSConfig identities (with appropriate parameters) to remap accounts to the new domain.

    Hi Jean,

    Thanks for your reply.

After you executed the TFSConfig identities command, this issue be resolved? If not, try to remove that users from that Windows group and re-add them in the Windows group again.

    Hi John,

Thank you for following up.  It is much appreciated.

I fixed the issue by removing the account, recreating it and re-adding it to the Windows group.  I then re-ran TFSConfig identities and it seems to work.  It took more than an hour for TFS to resync the TFS identity cache (I think I eventually did an iisreset).

Thanks for your suggestions and support.
