learning bdc - beginner

I am learning BDC, it was successful when I tested with the AdventureWorks db. I did the example over here http://blogs.msdn.com/b/spblog/archive/2009/07/01/business-data-catalog-bdc.aspx.

Anyway, I would like to test it with my own database. I have created a databse with 1 table. However the importing adf file returned warning saying that it was unable to create the profile page.  The database = mysts, table = modem, primary key = modemID.

Is there any requirements on what the db should be like..I am a beginner to BDC and also learning sql server at the same time.

Hi,

BDC supports MS SQL, Oracle, Web Services and a lot of others databases that support ODBC. Does your Entity have SpecificFinder method? I also would suggest you to read these articles Everything You Need to Know about BDC: Part 1 of 8
