Web Analytics - Data Collection Stopped

Hello,
On my SP 2010 Farm I've had the Web Analytics Service running happily collecting and displaying statistics for the web Application for some time.
However I've noticed that for the last 2-3 weeks no data has been collected in terms of Site Visits, Unique Visitors etc even though the sites have been in constant use.
I've restarted the Web Analytics Data Processing Service and Web Analytics Web Service on the Application Server and the Web Servers but this doesn't seem to have made any difference.
Is there anything else I can check to see where the data is being caught?

Please check the timer jobs which are running your web analytic service gets executed or not.
Check the event viewer on the server, from this you may get the cause of failure.
Also, you can see the server is having sufficient disk space which might also be causing the failure of timer jobs running.
Please Mark Post as Answer once you get the solution for your issues.

Hi Kunal,
Thanks for the reply.
I have ran the following jobs, which have all succeeded:
- Health Analysis Job (Daily, Web Analytics Data Processing Service, Any Server)
- Health Analysis Job (Daily, Web Analytics Web Service, Any Server)
As I say, these have completed successfully and have logged no errors in the Event Logs.
The Web Analytics have not updated and the screen in the Central Admin for the reports summary says last updated at 02:00 this morning.
Am I being impatient!!?

Hi,
Since you say in the original post that the data has not got updated from past 2 weeks, there might be an issue.
Check if you have ".usage" files being created at "C:\Program Files\Common Files\Microsoft Shared\Web Server Extensions\14\LOGS". Also check if it has any data in it.
If not, you might have to check the configurations once again as per http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/ff453926.aspx and make sure nothing is amiss. Also navigate to Central Admin -> Monitoring -> Configure usage and health collection and check if "Enable Usage Health collection" is Enabled. If even after this .usage files are not being updated with data, check the hotfix http://support.microsoft.com/?id=2204024.
On the otherhand if you do have the .usage files generated with data then the issue is that the Usage Data Import job is not importing the *.usage files from the ULS LOGS folder into the WSS_Logging database. Check if there is any problem with autogrowth /disc space issue with the DBs associated with the service applications. Since this is one of the DBs which can grow really fast, you might have to specifically tweak it to fit your needs. You can find the MS recommendations for the same at http://www.microsoft.com/download/en/details.aspx?id=24282.
Finally you can check http://social.msdn.microsoft.com/Forums/en-US/sharepoint2010general/thread/b172d4fe-0b2a-45ca-8bc2-51bfebaa83a5/ to see if the solution there helps. If not I suggest you call up MS Support.

Hi Sangeetha,
Thanks for the post.
I can confirm that *.usage files are being created with data. I can only see ones dated for today (within the last hour) so I presume these are being sent to the db server.
Can you just confirm the bit when you say "Configure usage and health collection and check if "Enable Usage Health collection" is Enabled" - The options I have here are "Enable usage data collection" & "Enable health data collection" - Which one do you mean?
I can also confirm that the db has lots of space to grow.

I meant the enable health data collection. Since you have the usage files created you can wait for a day - hopefully details would be up!
Cheers.

Thanks for confirming Sangeetha, unfortunately this morning I still have no new data in the reports.
I was reading the document at http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/ff453926.aspx (which was mentioned in one of the threads you refered to) and I found that the Microsoft SharePoint Foundation Usage data Processing service was disabled.
So I have enabled this and run it, but as yet nothing. Is this service connected with Web Analytics?
