Views and security?

Question

Is there a way to set up a list or library where different groups can only see certain items based on specified criteria and have it be secure?

Any info on any potential options would be much appreciated!!

Hi,

SharePoint allows you to set permission on item level. it means each item in the list can have a unique permission setting. Base on your criteria, you can have a group of items set to same SharePoint permission group.

You can set permission by folders (also known as containers). This way groups of items (within lists or libraries) as long as placed within folders can be managed at once.
