问题 Web Browsing layout question

I have started playing with SharePoint and have edited a SharePoint page in SharePoint Designer and it looks the way I want it.

I put in a boarder to split the page up.

When I view it in IE 8.0 it looks really bad. Firefox 12 displays it better but neither shows it like the design view.

Also the ribbon bar the the top displays different when I am in a document library.

Any suggestions how I can get IE to display this better.

    Hello Shawn,

The SharePoint Designer rendering engine is different than browser, look&feel of same html code can be very different.

Second, there are run time controls in SharePoint Pages which do not show in SPD, they may affect the result of the whole page.

You may use IE developer toolbar to find what css styles are affecting the html components and adjust styles accordingly.

Also is that a HR or a border that you added on the page?
