Help with MySite not referencing the correct search page

    일반 토론

  • Here is my situation.  I have two web apps one for my main SharePoint site and one for my My Sites.  Originally both sites were http:servername:80 and http:servername:(randomport) and I was having no issues searching both from my regular SP site and MySites.  I have since changed my SharePoint site to use a domain cert and changed the AAM to https://sp.domain.com.  I have no issues accessing the SharePoint site or searching.  I can still use the MySite collection just fine, however when one tries to search it is pointing back to a search page which no longer exists.  I have tried to change this in CA > My Site Settings > My Site Setup and tried replacing what was in preferred search center with the new https://sp.domain.com\search/pages/ however every time I click it wont save my change.  I have also tried going into MySite under Site Actions > Site Settings > Search and changing it to enable custom scope to point at my search page that way.  I have messed with my bindings, AAM and host headers to the point where I am just not sure what I need to do.  Any help would be much appreciated.

  • For the time being I have it working by mixing HTTPS and HTTP. Does the Mysite have to be SSL in order for it to reference a HTTPS preferred search center?
