- Hi Abdullah AL Mamun Oronno,
The edition of your VS2008 installer is VS2008 Pro Trial Edition, right?
I looked through the log file named dd_install_vs*.txt and found this error while setup was attempting to run the Web Authoring Component setup:
[07/03/09,01:17:24] Microsoft Visual Studio Web Authoring Component: e:\visual 2008 professional\vs2008proedition90daytrialenux1435622\setup\..\wcu\webdesignercore\WebDesignerCore.EXE exited with return value 536870913
[07/03/09,01:17:24] InstallReturnValue: GFN_MID WebDesignerCore, 0x20000001
[07/03/09,01:17:24] Setup.exe: AddGlobalCustomProperty
[07/03/09,01:17:24] Microsoft Visual Studio Web Authoring Component: ***ERRORLOG EVENT*** : Component Microsoft Visual Studio Web Authoring Component returned an unexpected value.
For this type of error, you can try running the Web Authoring Component setup directly from <VS install disc>\wcu\webdesignercore\webdesignercore.exe to see if it displays a more useful error message than the one in this log file.
Sometimes it could be caused by corrupted webdesignercore.exe file. If your issue refers to this cause, you typically should try to re-download the VS setup package and try again.
Thanks

- Hi Abdullah AL Mamun Oronno,
What's your OS?
The screen shot indicated that Microsoft Web Authoring Component setup was failing on your machine.
I found some helpful blogs for Web Authoring Component failure during VS 2008 setup:

If it doesn't work, could you please try to help me to use collect tool to collect the log files of VS2008 from your "%temp%" folder?
http://blogs.msdn.com/heaths/archive/2008/05/09/visual-studio-and-net-log-collection-utility.aspx
You can upload your log files to SkyDrive and post the link back here.
Steps:
- Try to clean your "%temp%" folder
- Install VS2008
- Collect the logs from "%temp%" folder
Thanks

Yea, I try to install VS2008 Pro Trial Edition.
While I try to install WebDesignerCore.EXE from <VS install disc>\wcu\webdesignercore\webdesignercore.exe, it shows "File corrupt" error message.
So, what i do? Re-download the big pack with 3.30GB!
Is there any way to download WebDesignerCore.EXE individually?
Anyway, Thanks again.- Hi Abdullah AL Mamun Oronno,
The Web Authoring Component can be downloaded from http://go.microsoft.com/fwlink/?LinkId=95934 .If the Web Authoring Component setup is corrupt though, it is possible that other packages that are going to be installed by VS setup are too. So you had better re-download the entire setup in order to try to workaround this if you encounter additional failures after installing the Web Authoring Components package.
Thanks
