ロック済み What SharePoint Services does TFS 2010 use?

I have successfully installed TFS 2010 server and Sharepoint 2010 on my App Tier Server. There is a separate Data Tier server.

I am now trying to improve the Web and Project Portal access. There are some provisioning issues that I know about but I had our internal SharePoint IT person look at the installation and she suggested that I might want to remove unneeded services. They installed the full SP 2010 deployment.

I am looking at the list of MSSP 2010 Services that are installed and running.  Which of these are NOT needed by TFS 2010?

    Access Database Service
    Application Registry Service
    Business Data Connectivity Service
    Central Administration
    Excel Calculation Services
    Managed Metadata Web Service
    Microsoft SharePoint Foundation Incoming E-Mail
    Microsoft SharePoint Foundation Web Application
Microsoft SharePoint Foundation Workflow Timer Service
    PerformancePoint Service
Search Query and Site Settings Service
    Secure Store Service
    SharePoint Server Search
    User Profile Service
    Visio Graphics Service
    Web Analytics Data Processing Service
    Web Analytics Web Service

    Word Automation Services

    Regards,

    Richard

    Hi Richard,

    Thanks for your post.

If you don’t want to install the full services of  SharePoint 2010, I suggest you can install the SharePoint Foundation 2010 to integrate with TFS 2010.

Ahhh... well that brings me to other issues as I have already been asked to downgrade to SharePoint Foundation 2010 by our License minders.

Had I understood that Sharepoint 2010 Foundation was all that was necessary to support TFS 2010 I would have installed it in the first place.

Unfortunately I have made a mess for myself.  When my new AT server was provisioned they installed TFS 2010 Server Standard. I simply installed Team Foundation Server 2010.  I have spent a week now moving all my projects and migrating to a new process template (Scrum for Team System v3). Everything is in place and developers are submitting work with the new installation.

Now I am told (by those I answer to) that I need to downgrade SharePoint Server to SharePoint Foundation.

I am faced with the daunting (to me) task of downgrading the SharePoint configuration whilst work goes on.  I have some in-house help with regard to Sharepoint itself but that resource doesn't understand Team Foundation.

My preliminary research raises some questions about SharePoint reporting services that may be needed (?) by TFS that apparently aren't provided by Sharepoint Foundation 2010.

Right now I'm looking for a description of anyone's experience with downgrading from Team Foundation Server 2010 with SharePoint Server 2010 to SharePoint Foundation 2010.

    Hi Richard,

    Thanks for your reply.

In this scenario, I think you need downgrading the SharePoint Server 2010 to SharePoint Foundation 2010 first, then reconfigure TFS 2010 with the SharePoint Foundation 2010. But I’m not the SharePoint expert, so I’m not sure if the SharePoint Server 2010 exactly support downgrading to SharePoint Foundation 2010(restore databases from SharePoint Server 2010 to SharePoint Foundation 2010), I suggest you contact SharePoint 2010 experts for the better response.

If SharePoint Server 2010 not support downgrading to SharePoint Foundation 2010, and you must to configure the SharePoint Foundation 2010 with TFS 2010, it seems that you need to reconfigure the new SharePoint Foundation with your TFS 2010.
