    Hi,
Is it possible to customize the standard document workspace template? I want to add some libraries and lists to the document workspace template and save this one.
Or can I create a new document workspace template?

The reason is, if I create an calendar entry I can select the option to create a workspace for this calendar entry. There I can select on of the standard templates for workspaces but no custom template.
So my question is -  is it possible to customize one of those templates or to create a new one which I can use in the calendar?

    Thx, Jochen

    Hi,

Yes, it is possible to customize the standard document workspace template and create a new document workspace template.

You can choose to create a custom template or site definition based on your requirement.

For more information, please review this article:

Deciding Between Custom Templates and Definitions

And the following articles give you the detailed steps how to do that:

    1.     Creating a custom Site Definition in WSS V3 / MOSS

    2.     Custom Site Templates

Hope the information can be helpful.

I'm trying to figure out how to do something similar.  I see how to create a document workspace and save it as a template.  What I'm not sure on is how you can use that new template instead of the default document workspace template?

For instance, let's say there are documents in a document library.  When using the menu to send a specific document to a Document Workspace, how could I specify to use the template I saved (the custom document workspace), instead of the default document workspace?
