Excel gets data using dbo file
Hi..
I have the book Inside Microsoft Office SharePoint server 2007.Iam trying to follow the Walkthrough:Creating A Dashboard Page.
I have the files: Top10ProductsSubCategories.xlsx and AdventureWorks.dbo
I have a TeamSite so I added a ReportCenter site to it.Then add its DataConnections Library to Trusted Data Connections. Then add the Reports Library to Trusted Files. Then upload the dbo file to the DataConnections Library then open the Excel file Top10ProductsSubCategories.xlsx and add the dbo file to its WorkBook Connections. Then I get the error:No connection could be made because the target machine actively refused it. .
When I close it another error appear:Errors in OLEDB provider. An error occured while loading the connection dialog box component for prompting
I have the SQL 2005 AdventureWorks database already installed.Should I made my own dbo file?If so should I use the option "From SQL Server" or "From Analysis Services" option in Excel Data menu? Please help me to sove this problem and in which way should I go?
If anything not clear in my question please notify me to explain it.

- At last it works..The Virtual machine I was using didn't has SQL Analysis Services installed correctly.I used another Virtual Machine and use a better installation file for AdventureWorks Database and make sure that SQL Analysis service is started and every thing after it works fine...

I found that I cannot deploy the Adventure Works DW Standard Edition sample BI project (found in the path:C:\Program Files\Microsoft SQL Server\90\Tools\Samples\AdventureWorks Analysis Services Project\standard)
I changed the server name from Localhost to my server name in both deployment properties and in editing Adventure Works.ds.
When I test the connection it show me success. But when I deploy the project the deploy process failed and show me the error:
Error 1 The project could not be deployed to the 'my server Name' server because of the following connectivity problems : A connection cannot be made. Ensure that the server is running. To verify or update the name of the target server, right-click on the project in Solution Explorer, select Project Properties, click on the Deployment tab, and then enter the name of the server. 0 0
I'm new to SQL Analysis Services I hope that you can provide me help as soon as possible.
