BDC - No actions available on Business Data List WebPart

Question

I'm having a problem with the Business Data List WebPart.  Basically, I can never select any actions.  I should have two actions available: the default View Profile and one that I added to edit. 

I've tried this two ways with the web part.  First, I tried to connect the Business Data List to the Business Data Actions WebPart.  In that case, Business Data List displays the data I expect and displays the radio buttons to make a selection.  When I click on a selection, however, the page just refreshes without showing any selection and the Business Data Actions WebPart displays nothing.

If I remove the Business Data Actions WebPart, then I expect to see my actions just by mousing over my selection to get the dropdown.  Nothing like that happens.  The Business Data List displays with no radio buttons, no actions in the "Actions" dropdown above the list, and know dropdown menu when mousing over an element in the list.

I've banged my head on this long enough.  Any help or advice would be greatly appreciated!

I ran into the same problem, and winded up creating a separate toolbar webpart to go above my BDC list.  I don't think you can put anything in that dropdown, MS only has it there because they use that template on other forms.

I think u want to add menu to edit a row.

for that u need to create a BDC file, that u have created.

r u creating BCD file using BDC editor, if yes that there is Action u need to create action in that.

While creating action it also ask u for page url where u want to redirect as well as parameters to pass, these parameters can be retivere by using query string.
