only those approver should be able to approve the document who has been assigned the task to approve

Hi,

I am creating a approval workflow and i want that only those approver should be able to approve the document who has been assigned the task to approve. not other approvers should be able to approve the document. How to achieve that? in current scenario all the approvers can approve the document even if it is assigned to single approver. please advise.

Hi, if the document is assigned to a single person no other person can approve. what kind of a workflow you are using?

i am using sharepoint designer workflow. people belonging to approval group can approve documents assigned to others also. i have enabled versioning, content approval & use content type
