How to restrict access to an individual field in InfoPath2010

Hey there!

I'm trying to setup up a list in SharePoint2010 using InfoPath2010. I need to have a drop down choice selection restricted such that only the approved group of managers in a permission group can change the value. The rest of the team needs read only access to that one column. Basically, I have a whole form with several different types of data to petition for funding. The managers will review and shoot back their inputs using the restricted field, which is why it is important for non-managers to have edit access to the one field.

I've been searching all over, and I'm on the IT wait list for some more advanced support. I'd appreciate any help that can be offered. Thanks in advance!
