Azure emulator slow

    質問

  • Hi

I am creating an MVC SAAS and am running the azure emulator. But when i run it, the whole process takes ages. My machine has 2GB but not sure if this is sufficient to test.

On one instance i was trying to run the page and it bought the blue screen of death. Does the emulator require alot of space when running apps?

  • Hi Tjsingh,

My laptop has 2GB RAM and I can develop/debug Azure application in it without problem. So 2GB RAM is sufficient for Azure development. Please note that the Compute emulator and Storage Emulator may need some time to start in first time if they are not already running. When Storage Emulator starts in the very first time after installation, it will need some time to initialize storage database in local SQL Server.

It doesn't require a lot of space. You may consider reinstalling the SDK and Tool from http://www.microsoft.com/windowsazure/sdk/ to see if it make it faster or not.

    Thanks.
