3dconnexion SpaceNavigator not working correctly with Virtual Earth 3 Beta

Question

The controls for my SpaceNavigator are no longer working correctly with Virtual Earth. For example. pressing down used to lower my altitude, now it just spins me around. If I twist the 3d mouse, I go lower. I have the latest driver from 3dconnexion. The problem started after I updated Virtual Earth.

I received an email within a week of this post explaining they know about the problem and our working on a new update ASAP. However, no update as of today. :(
