would be nice if the file manager included a built in WYSIWYG html editor.

I think you've mixed 2 different things: File manager and HTML editor.

Why File manager should have HTML editor in it? Why you just can't download a source file and edit it with appropriate software? And finally, nearly every good HTML editor has ability to connect via FTP to your web site and you can edit files directly.

So to me, it is totally useless feature.

    (Nothing personal)

His meaning is HTML Editior under the File Manager. Like cPanel offers Code Editior & HTML Editor inside of file manager

    Hi,

I still think an appropriate software (like Dreamweaver, etc.) should be used for that.

For us Developer types, I would agree in using a local editor is optimal, but I have client's that wouldn't know what an HTML Editor was, let along which one they should choose. Just becase that's how "we" would do it, doesn't mean it's the best for everyone else. I hope WebsitePanel gives easy options at some point to turn on these type of editors. Seems like the novice webmasters out there would appreciate it. When I first used WebsitePanel, I thought that I was going to see a basic online editor when I clicked on the paper/pencil edit tool (most Web control panels are setup this way). I am thinking of implementing a 3rd party js WYSIWYG into the file manager to replace that basic "Encoding/file content" editor. Anyone try this yet? If so, how difficult was it to implement?

I would also like to see something like this built into WSP.
