Azure tools in Visual Studio 2011

Hi All,
I have Visual Studio 2010 installed and I decided to install Visual Studio 2011 when it got available on MSDN. The problem that I have is that I can't install the latest Azure tools in Visual Studio 2011. The Web Platform Installer assumes, probably correct, that I wish to install the Azure tool in my vs 2010 installation.
Does anybody now a workaround to install the Azure tool in my vs 2011 installation?
BR,
Max.

There appears to be some confusion.
First, I'll assume you mean Lightswitch 2011, which is an extension to Visual Studio 2010. If you read the system requirements here:
http://www.microsoft.com/download/en/details.aspx?displaylang=en&id=26830
you'll see that VS 2010 SP1 is required as a prerequisite for Lightswitch 2011.
The Asure tools are for Visual Studio 2010.

giovedì 15 settembre 2011 13:55No, I mean the Visual Studio 2011 developer preview that was released for MSDN subscribers yesterday, http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/vstudio/aa718325. I.e. I have both Visual Studio 2010 and Visual Studio 2011 developer preview installed and I like to install the latest Azure SDK, http://www.microsoft.com/windowsazure/sdk/, in Visual Studio 2011.

I installed the VS 2011 preview here to see what's what.
When I looked through the various VB and C# project types, I found a Windows Azure category under both languages. The only "project type available is Install Windows Azure Tools. When I attempted that, I got this:
Windows Azure Tools Warning
At this time, Visual Studio 11 Developer Preview does not support Windows Azure Tools for Visual Studio. Please check back for updates, or subscribe to our newsletter. To install the current release of Windows Azure Tools for Visual Studio, you must use Visual Studio 2010 or Visual Studio 2010 SP1.

It appears there is no version of Azure for VS 2011 yet.

domenica 11 marzo 2012 08:40The confusion is that you're erroneously referring to it as Visual Studio 2011, when it's in fact Visual Studio 11. Don't blame me, blame Microsoft, Visual Studio 2011 would be Visual Studio Lightswitch 2011, it's currently 2012, and from the team blogs, their ditching the date names and 11 is the next numeric version.
