Upgrade SQL 2008 to R2
-
mercoledì 1 agosto 2012 05:11I am going to be moving TFS 2010 to new servers, and the MSDN guide says to make sure software versions are the same. My current server is SQL 2008, and I need to upgrade it to 2008 R2 to match the new server. Are there any issues upgrading a TFS 2010 server from SQL 2008 to SQL 2008 R2?

Hi Cliff,
TFS 2010 works with SQL Server 2008 R2. You can also check out this thread:

Hi Cliff,
i don't see any issues in upgrading SQL 2008 to SQL 2008 r2 with TFS 2010. Before upgrading the SQL, just take the backup of the databases.
Thanks,
Chandra
