Hi ,
Recently in our project we have integrated Project Server 2010 to TFS 2010.
We are able to publish the changes from TFS to Project Server.
But we are not able to Publish Data from Project Server to TFS.
ForExample:
I have created new Task in Project Server under some xyz plan but the same task can not be published to TFS.
Are we missing any configuration settings to be done from TFS side.
Any help and suggestions...

In my client machine i have installed only team Explorer.
And i have set the Flag to Yes in project Server.
The problem we are facing is i have created new task in Project Server the same task not getting created in TFS.
We have approval process in Project Server to approve any Action like that in TFS do we have any approval?
Do we need to install VS 2010 and VS 2010 SP1 in client machine?
thanks
Madhu

Hi,
After creating task in project server there is column to Publish to TFS that i have set to YES.
After that saved the project plan and clicked on Published Button.
The status is showing as Publishing process is completed but task not getting generated in TFS.
One more thing i have observed that "Team Foundation View Icon" missing in project Server plan.
When we open Project server plan i am not able to get the "Team Foundation View Icon"
Do i need to install any other setup or any configuration changes i need to do for this?
Pleae let me know suggestions on this.
Thanks
Madhu

There are couple of things you can check to make sure TFS addin for MS Project is installed on your client machine
If it is MS project 2010. Navigate to File->Options->Addin, you should see an Team Foundation Addin.
If the addin is not there then you must install Team Explorer SP1. This integration was shipped in VS2010 SP1.
You can also use the commadline tool
TFSAdmin projectserver /GetSyncMessages ...
to see why the tasks are not syncing from Project Server to TFS

Sounds like the add-in may not be installed or functioning properly. Do you have all the follwing pieces in place?
VS2010 SP1 -> http://go.microsoft.com/fwlink/?LinkId=203349
Project Pro 2010 SP1 -> http://go.microsoft.com/fwlink/?LinkId=228728
Project Pro 2010 June 28 hotfix -> http://go.microsoft.com/fwlink/?LinkId=228731I would also add that you should make sure that all required fields are filled in (eg. Iteration and Area Path, Work Item Type, Priority, Severity). If the add-in is funcitoning correctly, you should see a popup with the fields you are missing, but it never hurts to double check.
Checking Windows Event logs on the TFS app tier may also be useful. Look for TFS Sync Service events.
