TFS Configuration

Question

Hi,

 I have installed TFS 2010 and configured with advanced option, but when I goto TFS Admin console I am not able to see sharepoint web collections and reporting. Sharepoint option is not available because we do not have share point installed as of now but reporting option I am not able to see. Can you please tell me if anything I am missing.

Hi Dev,

          Yes, during the time of SQL 2008 r2 installation I have selected to install SQL reporting services also and I am able to see the services running on the server.

Thank you for your post.

Would you please post the screent shot of TFS administration console?

Do you select Configure Reporting for Team Foundation Server when do the TFS Advanced Configuration?
After install SQL reporting and analysis service during install SQL server, you need to choose configure reporting service for TFS when configure TFS.

What's the version of your operating system?

Sharepoint and Reporting are not supported on Windows 7. From the screen shot, SharePoint and Reporting are both missing.

Hi Lily,

         Thanks for the update, so now how do I need to proceed. Can I configure reporting and sharepoint on a different server and do I need to install TFS again? if so how do I have link between both the TFS server.

Hi sk17,

If you want to keep this TFS which you have installed on Win 7, you can add a TFS-AT to existing deployment.

If you do not want to keep current TFS, you can re-install TFS which run on Windows server 2003/2008 OS, for more information, please follow TFS 2010 installation guide.
