Sample Desktop Application

Question

Is there a sample front end desktop application for Adventureworks and Adventureworks Lite that is available for use to learn about these tables, data and their relations? I am thinking of releasing one, and wonder if it would be worthwhile to do - for both AV lite (12 tables) and AV full (70 tables). Is there one already done and if so, can someone please provide me a link. Should I do an application? Let me know your comments please.

Sure thanks for the much valuable links. It is sometimes easier to visual the data by using front end UI. Most, if not all, sofware projects aims to get an end user result. Therefore, I was thinking of releasing an app for users to execute against these sample databases. Seeing data relations in a diagram is completely different from opening up multi level forms and really going in-depth down a few levels to understand how it all fit and works together.

Cool stuff. It seems to be done nicely.

I am working on a VS Add in that generates the code and forms using VS itself (not just txt files generation) from ANY db. The complete solution is then built and you just compile and run it. AVWorks Lite takes about 3 minutes and the complete app comes out very smart. I do have some small issues in my add in and am reworking it and once that is fixed, I will release the app for academic purposes. The add in will not be release, but at least MSoft will see the power of it - without writing a single line of code and working on any MsSQL db.
