I'm lost

Question

I'm finishing the 2780B course these days. I did the 2779B before that.
I can't seem to be able to download adventureworks db to my computer no matter what.

I am using a vista home basic OS. I have downloaded SQLS 2005 express and have attached the northwind sample db with no problems.

But when I click any of the links from this page: http://www.codeplex.com/MSFTDBProdSamples/Release/ProjectReleases.aspx?ReleaseId=4004

and agree to terms and click either save or run, the computer downloads, then finishes - and then nothing happens, I see no file where I saved my file, and I can't find any *.mdf or *.msi files on my computer.

WTH is going on there?

I share your pain.  The above thread will not help your problem, but it shows how difficult installation can be.  It took me two solid days to solve my installation.

You might want to find out if you can strip out whatever you installed...but that's easier said than done.  In extreme cases I've done a ghost rewrite of my hard drive from a previous ghosted backup copy...but that takes a couple of hours and you should try and avoid that if possible.

nightroll, does the download just not start from CodePlex after you agree to the license/ToU?
