Problem with R2 Training Kit-Can't find Adventure Works DB
-
sabato 24 luglio 2010 10:30
I installed the new training kit and the prereqs including the new AdWorksR2, which shows up in SSMS. However, when I go to the firsts Hands On Lab (Build Your First Web App with SQL Server and ASP.Net) the setup process tells me that Adventure Works is not installed. Does anyone have any suggestions about how to troubleshoot?
Thanks

venerdì 27 maggio 2011 13:42I'm seeing the same problem. Database "AdventureWorks2008R2" is installed but the dependency checker (for the ATOM feeds HOL) says it isn't. This is on the January 2011 update of the training kit. I've got a named instance, not sure if this is confusing the checker.

Which training kit did you install?

If you are using SQL Server 2008 R2, download and attach the AdventureWorks2008R2 data file from http://msftdbprodsamples.codeplex.com/releases/view/59211. There is an mdf and SQL script option. For the mdf option, you will need to remove the log file from the list of files to attach. See Readme for Adventure Works 2008 R2 Sample Database for steps on how to install AdventureWorks2008R2 OLTP database.
