There is a application built on Sharepoint. I uploaded some pivot excel files on Sharepoint for users to access. These pivot excel connects to the SSAS cubes to get data. The user who dont have access to the SSAS cubes gets error. When they click Ok on the error then they are able to see the data that was originally present in the excel while uploading it on Sharepoint. This should not be the case. The users who dont have access to the cubes should not see any data.
Can anybody advice how i can fix this security issue.

Actually this is working as designed if I understand you correctly. If you created your PowerPivot sheet with data from the cube, that data is loaded into PowerPivot and is now available to the user who has access to the data in PowerPivot. SSAS security would be applied when the data is loaded into PowerPivot not when it is queried from PowerPivot.Regards, Steve @dataonwheels http://www.dataonwheels.com
