Item Expiration Question

I came across this article....

Is this possible in WSS v3 as it says its only for MOSS
It would be a nice handy stuff....
What do you guys thinks

The comment there says

"not only will this require MOSS, but also, if I am not mistaken, that there be a Rights Management Server (RMS) present and configured in the network."


He doesn't seem to be mistaken. The final para talks about RMS.

We can do this with a workflow, without MOSS and without RMS: the comment is wrong, we don't need RMS, the article just mentions Information management Policy setting to apply a policy at the list level, and the guy of the comment thought is was related to RMS :-)

I believe the reason that they mention that it's not possible with WSS is due to the workflows being used.

Agree with Serge that there's not really a need for RMS.
