Remove modify date from summary view in announcement web part - sharepoint 2010

Question

Hi,

My users like the Summary View in the Announcement web part. Only problem is that the date shown is the Modified date. I know how to get the system to sort the annoucements using the Created date, but how do I remove the Modified date from the view so users don't think it's the create date?

Hi,

Just disable the column anme from that view.

Mocfiy the view --> De-select the Modified column name from there

The Summary view won't let you disable that column.

Will you please create a new view with same feature and lets try to de-select the same column,?

Once it is done then, delete this view
