DataFormWebPart adding Header

Question

I am trying to add a Header (column titles) to a DataFormWebPart which displays data in a tabular view.  However I cannot get the column titles in alignment with the rest of the data.  Can someone tell me how to get this done.  

I click on the Header checkbox on the ribbon for the DataFormWebPart, this displays a header area, but I am not sure how to include the columns so that they are in alignment with the rest of the data.

Hi ,

I understand that you want to add a header to data form web part. As far as I know ,when adding the columns as ‘Multiple item view ’, the columns headers are added automatically. When check ‘Header’ in the ribbon ,it only added an empty row on top of the column titles. You can check ‘Sort&Filters on Headers’ to add filter on column heading.
