I can't see pictures on my own website

    Question

  • I have made a simple website for my golf society which displays fine in Firefox but no pictures show up in IE8. The website has been made with MS Word which may not be the best tool for the job but it's what I know. I have created sub-folders within the website host as MS Word requires but still no joy in IE8. Can anyone help? The website address is www.eels.org.uk/ and there should be a picture of our logo right in the middle of the screen. All of the linked pages have the same problem.
    I would guess the problem is either within the source code of the pages or in the way I have uploaded the pictures but I really can't work out why. I'm sure there's a simple explanation though.

  • replace

    <?xml:namespace prefix = v ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com:vml" /><v:shape style="WIDTH: 261.75pt; HEIGHT: 264pt" id=_x0000_i1025 type = "#_x0000_t75" coordsize = "21600,21600"><v:imagedata o:title="logo01" src = "index_files/image001.jpg"></v:imagedata></v:shape>

    with

    <img alt="" scr="index_files/img0001.jpg" width="100%"/>

    also add a valid document type declaration (you are using vml so you need to choose a xhtml systax schema) and validate your markup at validator.w3.org

    vml does not work in other web browsers.
