Meskipun banyak upaya untuk menginstal ulang IIS7, anda terus mendapatkan pesan error di atas. Kesalahan ini biasanya disebabkan oleh korupsi WS (Windows Process Activation Service). WS adalah paket fitur yang terdapat di IIS7. Jika installation / uninstallation baik dari IIS atau WS terganggu, mungkin meninggalkan WS dalam keadaan rusak(corrupt). Setelah rusak anda akan terus mendapatkan pesan error karena anda akan mencoba untuk menginstal IIS dalam infrastruktur WS yang rusak.

Resolusi dapat dilakukan setelah anda sepenuhnya menghapus WS sebelum instalasi ulang IIS:

1) Uninstall WAS - Uncheck the whole child options for the parent node "Windows Process Activation Service" and below.

2) Uninstall IIS 7.0.

3) Reinstall IIS 7.0.
