(Sumber: milist DOTNET) Belajar bikin RESTful web service

Question

Halo,

Saya sedang cari buku / reference bgm membuat RESTful web services. Kalau bisa yang menggunakan VB.NET.
Apakah rekan2 tahu buku2 mengenai hal ini yang mudah dimengerti oleh pemula?
Saya lebih suka buku2 yg banyak contohnya dan menggunakan bahasa Indonesia (kalau ngga ada, English juga boleh deh)

Jika ada buku2 yg bisa direkomendasi tolong share ya....

Gw strongly suggest lu coba Wcf Web-Api, yang bisa lu install dari nuget.
Ini gak exactly REST framework, terutama karna gw notice gak ada explicit hypermedia concept. Tapi tetep an excellent framework buat bikin RESTful web services. Referencenya sangat memadai di project homepagenya. http://wcf.codeplex.com/ dan Getting Started
Alternativenya adalah OpenRasta

Sebetulnya RESTful itu ada pada tingkatan programming dan bukan pada project. Jadi anda bisa menggunakan project Template WCF atau MVC untuk membuat RESTful application. Atau cara cepatnya,

 

1.       Buka VS2010 dan Create New Project atau tekan Ctrl+Shift+N.

2.       Pilih Template Web pada Left side bar.

3.       Scroll dan cari template project WCF REST Service Application (lihat gambar pd attachment).

4.       Selesai.
