Master,

 

Jadi gini, saya dan team membuat sebuah aplikasi kecil-kecilan menggunakan VB.net nah, rencananya aplikasi tsb akan di install di 2 PC.

Gimana ya caranya bikin koneksi antara 2 PC supaya ketika PC 1 mengupdate data pada aplikasi, maka aplikasi di PC 2 menampilkan data yang sudah diupdate.

pke System.Messaging y?
Saratnya komputer harus diinstal Message Queue Server (MSMQ) yg bisa diinstal lewat add/remove component windows. Client cukup baca notifikasi dari queue server klo ada data yg berubah. Komputer yg merubah data pada aplikasi harus mempublish notifikasi ke MSMQ yg selalu di listen oleh client.

pke messaging emg reliable bgt buat komunikasi antar komputer. Ane udah pke di project auto-email kantor.
More advance dari messaging saya rasa ya WCF (Messaging + Remoting, dkk)

gto yh Mas,,

 

emg ngak bisa kita manfaatkan API yang telah disediakan VB 2008 sedangkan yang Visual Basic aja kita bisa hubungkan komputer yang satu dengan yang lain dengan bantuan winsock.

Dicoba untuk mempelajari WCF, semua framework untuk membuat aplikasi terdistribusi sudah dirangkum semuanya disana salah satunya yaitu teknik untuk berkomunikasi antar application domain yang berbeda dimana app domain tersebut diinstall di komputer yang berbeda. Sebagai clue nya coba pelajari Duplex Messaging Pattern di WCF...selamat bereksplorasi :)
