Crashes with Visual Studio 2008 and Team Foundation when accessing Pending Changes

Help!

Sometimes, but not always, my VStudio 2008 crashes when I go to pending changes.  I do have SP1 installed and I'm all patched up (via Windows Update).  I am using Team Foundation Server,  Team System 2008, Developer Edition.

Below the trace is what I have installed.

I attached and debugged with a seperate instance of VStudio and got the stack trace below.  The debugger also showed me the offending function. It's in msize.c -- _msize_base() is the function.  The value of pblock looks fishy.  The pointer reads: 0x00000002.  I guess when it gets to line 88, it barfs.  Here's line 88:  retval = (size_t)HeapSize(_crtheap, 0, pblock);

Hello,
do you see any errors in the Windows event viewer? If application crashes you can usually find useful information there and watson bucket id that would allow us to find more information about it.
Did you try loading public symbols, when you attached debugger to get more detailed stack trace?

I noticed that you have installed some third-part add-ins, Could you try to run devenv /safemode to isolate potential 3rd party add-in issue?

Hi,

I have the same problem after installing powertools.

My config : VS Professional Ed. Sp1 Framework 3.2 SP1 Powertoolsoctober 2008

Actually I only need powertools to use Custom check-in policies.

Does I need to unisntall powertools and reinstall just the Custom check-in policies ?

Has somebody already have this issue and manage to solve it ?
