TFS 2010 Lab Management

Question

Hi - In our organization we are using TFS 2010 for our source repository across projects having a 1 TFS server - the problem is if we want to configure and enable Lab Management only for our team Project - what is the way to do it? I mean configuring Lab Management on our existing server will impact other team projects and teams as well - so what is the best way to isolate this for a specific team project to complete our needs. any suggesions?

Thanks for your post.

As far as I know, the Lab Management need to configure with TFS 2010 Server(sever-level), we can’t specifies the Lab Management to specific team project. If your other team project not use the Lab Management, I think the Lab Management will not affect that team projects.

I agree and I am with you. I am having a same understanding as well but I thought if there is a way if we can achieve this. As to configure Lab Management invovles lots of things including SCVMM set-up and that will require whole lot of discussions within the organization.

First this could be done but only in the next release of Lab Management and can be found in MTM 11 beta, see the following link :
