Release date of Visual Studio 2012

Hi,

Does anyone know the probable release dates of "beta" and actual release of Visual Studio 2012?

There are no official dates available.

My personal best guess is 4th quarter 2012.

If the final name is really visual studio 2012, i guess Q2-2012

From wiki:

You can see 2005 to 2008 to 2010 ,these between 2 years and/or few months.

So 2010-04 + 2years = 2012-04 to 07

It really makes no sense at all to call it 2012 at the very end of 2012. If they release beta at December 2012, then they should spend the next year and a half fixing it and polishing it and call it Visual Studio 2014. Stupid to wait until very last minute and call it after a years that is basically gone.

Microsoft® Visual Studio® 11 Developer Preview was out in 16th November, 2011 with expiration date of 30th June, 2012 having .net framework version 4.5 developer preview and Microsoft Visual Studio 11 Beta version was released on 16th February, 2012. Beta 2 version could be released after two months of beta release. Release Candidate version should be out in July, 2012 for further testing. The final version of Microsoft® Visual Studio® 11 (2012) might be released in September or October this year.

I have it on good authority that the release date will be Monday 24th September 2012

I agree... Today I came about some other indicators pointing at a late-September/early-October, Win8 release (which I guess will be synchronized with VS2012). Also, it would be weird if the whole Surface tablet event was set up only to make people wait more than 6 months to buy them . So I maybe that's a hint as well.

VS2012 had gone RTM yesterday and it will be available on the usual channels by mid august for developers.

      Good one...Everyone should know this fact. PDT not EST. Also, not everyone gets access today. I think only MSDN and SA do but everyone else is later.

      Can someone confirm who gets access today?
