Locked Help Migrating from Multimap to Bing Maps (Developer required)

Hi, my wife and I have built a site at http://www.walkswithbuggies.com/ and http://www.walkswithwheelchairs.com/ which uses the MultiMap Open API - or at least it did until they switched it off anyway!

Our site has not yet been updated, and so all the maps are now blank e.g.: http://www.walkswithbuggies.com/Cheshire/158 - there used to be a map with a vector png overlay on that page - now all the maps are blank

I'm not sure it's perhaps as difficult as I might have first thought. Actually going through the first set of instructions on this page: http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/gg427624.aspx I have managed to generate my bing maps api key and add the code to the attached page, so that when you goto a page on the site such as: http://www.walkswithbuggies.com/Bristol/581 you can now at least see the default bing map.

    So far so good.

But what i've not yet done is configure there map to load the right location, and then overlay the relevant png graphic over the top of it. (this is how we show the routes, by having them drawn on a png and placing them over the map - I know we need to update this method, but we first need to be able to see the old map routes so we can redraw them)

So i'm looking for a developer who is able to understand the code, and then work out what the names of the new parameters in the bing api are. So really, I think the job is to work out why the map is not loading at the right co-ordinates (and zoom value, and type of map) and then work out why the pngs aren't being placed.

So for that page: http://www.walkswithbuggies.com/Bristol/581 it should overlay this png:
http://www.walkswithbuggies.com/routes/581.png

Is there anyone here who can help? Please email martin@south.co.uk if so. We're happy to pay for your skills - not asking for a freebie. Thank you

Hi there. It was announced a while ago that Mutlimap would be retired. Emails were sent out to those on file for accounts. Along with several web pages and blog posts about this retirement. We have created resouces to help migrate from Multimap to Bing Maps which are available here: http://www.microsoft.com/maps/multimap.aspx

HI Richard, thanks for the reply

We must have been one of the unlucky people who never received any email about the change. I can appreciate the help that MS has given in creating the migration help website - and that is what has so far allowed me to load the map on page. What I can't seem to do is target the map to the right location and zoom level, and then (the tricky bit) manage to overlay the PNG files that we have which displays each route...

So what i'm looking for is someone who could look at the problem to see if they could solve it. As I mentioned, I'm happy to pay for someone's time to undertake this for us as i'm not a developer and can't see how to see the various parameters

    Thanks
