    I would like to know why default boot configuration in Windows Server 8 Developer Preview does not provide for detecting HAL, integrity services and RE graphic user interface (custom:250000c2) like it does in Windows 8 Developer Preview.

      I don't know why but using Visual BCD Editor you can create and edit any BCD loader and element (custom as well) in an explorer like GUI.

      Detect HAL is usually not there by default, integrity services should be there. Good to know that custom:250000c2 is for RE GUI - is this an enumeration type ?

        I don't need visual editor to edit BCD. I can do it quite well using common command line tools. My question was addressed to Windows 8 developers. I can only suspect why this or that element is there or not And it is not that difficult to figure out that custom:250000c2 is an osloader integer element.
