pcsc library for report health/fault status, reset, reland, open/close shutter function

Hi,

We're using pcsc library with Athena USBDrive IIIe Motorized smartcard reader with driver version 1.5.2.0; firmware version 4.12.

Do pcsc library provide smartcard reader provide the following the following functions:

- report health/fault status(e.g. card jam, disconnect, no power etc) within certain short period, can SCardGetStatusChange or SCardStatus do this job?

- reset function(i.e no need to reboot the whole machine in case faults happen)?

- Also is there any reland function?

- Shutter open/close function?

I suppose that these kinds of questions could have a better answer when addressed to the provider of the library since they know what they did or didn't.

But the provider(Athena) request me to ask Microsoft support as this refer to the support of pcsc library. So which one should be correct?
