Visual Studio 11 Express for Win8 Developer preview 32-bit

I've been watching the BUILD videos this weekend, & I must say I'm impressed with what I see so far of Win8. I want to get my feet wet with it, but the only puter I can spare right now to load a dev preview on is a desktop with 32-bit CPU. I noticed though that only the 64-bit download of Win8 includes VS11Exp, but there is a 32-bit/64-bit version on MSDN subscriber downloads. I don't have a subscription. :(
Any chance of freeing up a 32-bit version too? Is the VS11Exp in the 64-bit download, really the 32-bit/64-bit version, so will also install on the 32-bit dev preview?
I meant to post this in Tools for Metro style apps but I can't see now how to move it to there. Sorry.- Modifié Dave_Lock lundi 19 septembre 2011 12:15

Hi there Dave, in order to develop Metro style applications, the Visual Studio 11 Developer Preview must be installed on the Windows Developer Preview with developer tools English, 64-bit. Developing Metro style applications on other Preview versions of Windows 8 is not supported.

Thanks for that reply Francisco. I suspected as much but I'm still disappointed. I guess it's a case of 'watching from the bench' for people in same situation as me.
Is it known if this will be the case until Win8 launch? Will people who aren't able to participate in the dev preview stage be totally disadvantaged, or will a 32-bit VS11Exp be widely available before Win8 market release?
Thanks again!

We will have many updates on Windows 8 very soon, I'm absolutely sure that Visual Studio 11 x86 can develop Metro apps for Windows 8 very soon, when new builds are more stable.
Regards.

No dates have been announced. Please see Which Windows 8 images and Visual Studio tools support Windows Metro style development and which support desktop development? That thread will be updated when there is new information.
