Best practice to restore a single project in TFS 2010

Hi,
We have about ~1000 projects in TFS 2008.
A lot customers have complained because we have not provided restores for single projects in TFS 2008.I'm planning to migrate all the projects to new instance in TFS 2010.
I've heard about the Team Project Collections (TPCs).
I wonder if we should create one TPC for every project, projects are independent from others, so we can restore a TPC if needed. I think this should allow us to restore a single project in case we have just one project per TPC but I'm not sure if this is a good practice to restore single projects in TFS 2010. If not, please advise. Also, I'm interested in 3rd-party tools that can restore single projects. Any suggestion?
Your help is greatly appreciated.
Thanks!

Project collection can be very useful in many things like archiving strategies, isolation and many others, Just see this link:

Hi Jaisol,
Thanks for your post.
In TFS 2010, Team Project Collection is a collection of Team Projects, we can’t add the project/source file in a Team Project Collection directly, we should create the Team Project under the Team Project Collection, then add project/source file in Team Project. As your projects are independent for others, so you can crate Team Projects for each project, or add all project in one Team Project.

Hi,
Thanks for the reply. It gave me a better idea how Tem Project Collections works out.
I think TCPs would work for backup/restore single project strategy.By the way, I've read some pros and cons of TPCs however I wonder if there are some limitations regarding the max number of TPCs and potential performance impact for the use of many TPCs.
Thanks!
