Not able to restore the database in SQL Server 2008 R2

Hi,
when i restore the database in SQL Server 2008 R2 i got this error.
An exception occurred while executing a Transact-SQL statement or batch. (Microsoft.SqlServer.ConnectionInfo)

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION:
The media family on device 'D:\GoldMine\GoldMine_backup_2012_03_05_170024_5383415.bak' is incorrectly formed. SQL Server cannot process this media family.
RESTORE HEADERONLY is terminating abnormally. (Microsoft SQL Server, Error: 3241)

mardi 6 mars 2012 15:10I think that you've probably got a corrupt backup there. Are you able to take another backup and restore that?

But it got restored in SQL Server 2008.
