Hi,
my customer is considering using SQL 2012 in their existing SharePoint 2010
since he plan to install PowerView and PowerPivot in SharePoint Front End, which is a different server from SQL 2012 Server.
he ask Will it require an additional SQL 2012 License for the SharePoint FrontEnd Server which only install the PowerView and PowerPivot feature?

If you will install SQL server on SharePoint frontEnd you need to have a licence for SQL server, so yes you need additional SQL licence - either Enterprise Edition or Business Intelligence Edition.
Also your users need to have SharePoint Enterprise CAL - as PowerPivot is an enterprise feature.

From here
it says "every component of SQL requires license".
