Data Refresh error

Question

Hi,

I've published a workbook and scheduled the related data refresh, but I've this error message: "The requested service, 'https://servername:portnumber/c8bd4ddefc5041a5892bb5028054477a/SecureStoreService.svc/https' could not be activated.
See the server's diagnostic trace logs for more information."

The Secure Store service is active and so for Excel Services.

Any ideas to solve this issue? Thanks

Hi, in the Deployment Guide for Microsoft SharePoint Server 2010 (http://www.microsoft.com/download/en/details.aspx?id=10009) it talks about the KB963676 (http://go.microsoft.com/fwlink/?LinkId=151358).

Has anyone installed this KB in order to solve a SharePoint similar issue?

Ok, thanks, I've solved with an IISRESET.

Now, the scheduled data refreshes function without any problems.

We seem to get this problem primarily when viewing tasks.

An IIS restart does temporarily fix the issue, but returns only a couple days later.

Is there a more permanent fix?

By the way, the problem can be solved in a little bit more gentle way - just recycle the application pool where Secure Store service is running.
