- In you current description i see that you are mentioning both MOSS and WSS.
Are they connect to same configuration database and Farm?
If yes, then i believe you farm is set incorrectly.
you can either have all WSS servers or all MOSS server.
Please clarify?
Visit: http://yagyashree.wordpress.com MCP & MCTS [WSS 3.0/MOSS] This is a single server installation with MOSS 2007 and WSS3 installed. I am just trying to view the search usage reports from within SSP admin. This installation has been installed for several years now and and I believe that the problem started once WSS3 was upgrade to SP2. Other then this the application is somewhat stable.
Thanks,
Richard- I am getting the exact same error in a MOSS Enterprise Edition server farm with a WFE, APP and SQL servers farm with SP2 on it. 64-bit 4GB RAM 2x2.6Ghz CPU on each.
Is there a resolution to this?

i see that your environment is a 64-bit server environment. now As per your issue which i found is getting in the event logs is may be because in your server farm the encryption is not set correctly.
So i will recommend that you should take a look into below Microsoft article to find if the issue can fixed by follow it:
How to switch between the 32-bit versions of ASP.NET 1.1 and the 64-bit version of ASP.NET 2.0 on a 64-bit version of Windows
http://support.microsoft.com/kb/894435/en-us
update me after you follow the steps.
